Discover the fascinating dance of Tso, an expression of prestige and vitality in tribal leadership. This captivating dance is performed during seasonal celebrations, funerals, or inaugurations. Members of the Kuosi tribe, part of the Bamiléké ethnic group originating from the Western region of Cameroon, known for their warrior tradition, bring this dance to life by wearing intricately adorned hoods embellished with beads. Artistic details include ears and a frontal piece that evoke the majesty of the elephant.
The dancers are dressed in indigo-dyed fabrics and vests embroidered with beads, adding an elegant touch to their attire. Their beautifully adorned feather headdresses and leopard skins bear witness to their status and rank within the tribal society.
